ICT is an exciting and rapidly changing subject. It is altering the way in which children learn and will almost certainly affect their future lives. The impact of ICT at school, home and in the wider community is increasing, so it is vital that children are taught the skills, knowledge and understanding that will allow them the capability and confidence to use ICT.
Children are taught ICT skills through their ICT lessons, but are also given opportunities for using these skills in other curriculum areas. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) impacts on all of the curriculum as a tool for learning.
