Geography
Geography explores the relationship between the natural and the human world and promotes an understanding of place and scale. It is a study of different cultures and societies, encouraging a sense of identity and an understanding of the ways in which communities are linked. Geography introduces children to environments across the world.
Pupils carry out geographical enquiry inside and outside of the classroom. This enables children to ask questions and use appropriate skills and resources such as maps, atlases, aerial photographs and ICT.

International links have been developed with 4 partner schools in Europe. All these schools are focussing on a joint environmental project, and at Barrs Court we are using our wonderful moat facilities, in order to create an outdoor classroom. Click here to find out more about our moat area. We also have a link with the University of Cape Coast South, in Ghana.
