At Barrs Court we teach French to all children as part of the normal school curriculum. We believe that the earlier a child is exposed to a foreign language the faster the language in question is aquired.
The children at Barrs Court really enjoy speaking French. Here are some of the things we do:
|
We play French games.
We use role play. |
We write to French children in other schools.
|
|
We use puppets and soft toys to make learning fun.
We listen to French songs and read French books.
|
We invite visitors who are native french speakers into the classroom.
Each year we have a French assistant who teaches small groups throughout the school.
Our new french assistant for 2005/2006 is called Anne-Marie.
