The Eco Team 2009/10
Here are the enthusiastic Eco Team of 2009/10. They are a hard working team of children from Reception to Year Six who are always helping our school to become more environmentally friendly!

The Eco Team have have made many changes to our school. They meet at least once a week to discuss issues in our school and how we can tackle them.

This term we have been checking that all of the areas in school have reminder posters to save electricity and recycle paper whenever possible. We have also updated our Eco-Code so that every class in school contributed their ideas. These will be given out in an assembly soon!
The Eco-team have worked hard to introduce recycling into our school. We now recycle paper, tins, plastic, glass, fruit waste, ink cartridges and old mobile phones!
Recycling bags for paper in each homebase. Containers for plastics and tins in the court yard Fruit bins and protective clothing for composting.

The Eco Team work closely with the adults around school to make sure that everybody is helping to be more environmentally friendly. The Eco Team have also presented to the whole school during assembly time too.

The Eco Team were presented with a cheque for £500 from Wessex Water because of their good ideas for developing our school moat area. |
The Eco Team are also working hard with the Environment Club to build a school garden. When this is finished it will be used to plant flowers, herbs and vegetables that we will harvest all year around.
