Design Technology
Through topic work children are encouraged to design in order to solve practical problems, make their model and evaluate it's success.
We are richly resourced with construction apparatus throughout the school whilst encouraging the use of original materials.
In our superb purpose built food activites room, every child has the opportunity to cook under adult supervision.

Reception made wonderful puppets.

Year 3 and Year 4 worked in groups to make their own moving books.
To do this they had to read books that had moving parts and work out how they worked, then lots of practicing on the different methods to make something move on a page, such as pop ups, pivots and pull strips.
Musical instruments designed and made by Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.
