At Barrs Court we are proud of the emphasis that we place in art and design. This is evident to all who visit. Our most recent Ofsted report noted that standards in art and design were 'well above average'. Lessons throughout the school ensure the sequential progression of skills, and pupils have opportunities to use a wide range of media. We are most fortunate to have a kiln. Each year we hold an annual Arts Week, which encorapates teaching and learning in all the arts - drama, dance, music and art. (To find out more about an arts week, please click here). We have regular artists in residence to give breadth of experience to the children.
